Everett is the largest city in Snohomish County, Washington reaching an estimated population of 100,000. To improve Everett’s appeal it has gone through a lot of redevelopment projects that makes this a nice place to live.
Everett is the county seat of Snohomish County. The first thing that comes to mind when many people speak of Everett is the infamous mountain, but Everett Washington is named for Everett Colby, who was the son of the man who founded the city, Charles L. Colby.
Everett is a quick 25 miles north of Seattle. According to the 2010 census, Everett had a population of 103,019 at the which qualifies it as the 6th largest in the state and fourth-largest in Seattle metro area. It received an All-America City Award in 2002.
Everett is home to the largest public marina on the west coast of the United States and is the western terminus of the western segment of U.S. Route 2. One of the main employers in Everett is Boeing’s assembly plant for the 747, 767, 777, and the 787. Not only is the facility a large employer, but it is the largest building in the world in terms of pure volume.
Another main attraction of Everett is the site of a U.S. Navy Homeport, Naval Station Everett. One of the main activities in Everett is the Port of Everett. This international shipping port brings trade, commerce, jobs and recreation to the city.
